ENTRY DEADLINE : Thursday, August 9th at 6:00 p.m.

Contest Preliminaries: Sunday, August 11th 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m at the Big Top
The top 20 contestants will move onto the Finals
Fairbanks Has Talents Finals: Sunday, August 11th 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. at the Big Top

First place winner: $400 and paid entry to the Alaska State Fair in Palmer to compete in their "Alaska's Got Talent" competition to have a chance to win up to $2500.
Second place winner: $250 and paid entry to the Alaska's Got Talent competition to have a chance to win up to $2500 at the Palmer's State Fair.
Third place winner: $100.

I agree to indemnify, hold harmless and defend the Tanana Valley State Fair, its individual members and Directors against any and all claims arising out of or resulting from my participation in the Fairbanks Has Talent Contest.  In addition, I hereby certify that I have read and agree to follow the contest rules and respect the judges’ rulings. By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, the Tanana Valley Fair will take this as your signature of agreement.

Winners will be selected by a panel of qualified judges based on the following criteria:
  1. Talent - 50% on a scale of 5-50 = (Vocal ability, musicianship, skill level)
  2. Professionalism - 15% on a scale of 1-15 = ( Entertainment ability, confidence, connection w/ audience)
  3. Appearance - 10% on a scale of 1-10 = ( Appropriate dress, quality and/or originality of costuming)
  4. Audience Reaction - 25% on a scale of 5-25 = (applause, audience participation, reaction from audience)
Rules and Regulations:

No animal acts or dangerous acts will be permitted. TVSF is a family-friendly environment so no explicit content/lyrics are allowed. Any entry that is uncooperative, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, uses profanity, or displays any actions will be disqualified from the competition and removed from the venue. No refunds will be provided. Each contestant is also encouraged to cooperate with and follow the direction of the Master of Ceremonies and the Tanana Valley State Fair personnel. Each contestant will be required to perform 1 talent of their choice during the preliminaries, and if selected, 1 talent during the finals which must be the same or similar. Performance length should be limited to no more than 10 minutes. Each contestant is required to provide the props (instrumental accompaniment, tracks, props, etc) for the talent they will be performing or they may perform unaided.
For singers: songs that have accompaniment must have instrumental accompanying tracks ONLY (no vocals) Instrumental tracks may be submitted in the following forms only: Standard CD or MP3 Player.The only equipment provided by TVSF will be microphones, monitors, and main PA. Any equipment such as instruments, amplifiers, etc is the responsibility of the participants. Set up time limited to 3 minutes.

The highest overall score wins. Tie scores will be reviewed and final placement determined by a judge's panel discussion. The judges' decision are final!
