Job Title: Competitive Exhibits Coordinator

Reports to: Executive Director

Job Scope: Oversee the Competitive Exhibits Division of the Fair

Salary: DOE


April-May: 20 hours per week

June-July: 30 hour per week

August: 40 hours per week

Plus occasional OT during fair

Job Duties:

Exhibitor Guide:

  • Evaluate Format, content, quality, etc. annually
  • Gather and review division changes from Exhibit Superintendents
  • Competitive Exhibits committee must approve all changes

Other Printed Materials:

  • Manuals: Division Superintendents and Judges
  • Exhibit tags, ID forms, stall cards, entry forms and miscellaneous forms
  • Division handbooks and score sheets
  • Competitive Exhibit posters and signs

Committee Work:

  • Competitive Exhibits Advisory Committee
  • Protest Committee

Competitive Exhibits Staff:

  • Train Exhibits Assistant, Data Entry Staff and Fair Clerks (if needed)
  • Recruits all Superintendents and volunteers.Serves as Community outreach for volunteers.
  • Coordinate competitive exhibits computer files, after Fair closeout and update Volunteer Roster
  • Maintain data base for competitive exhibits
  • Responsible for data entry and maintenance of files
  • Act as overall support to and provides training for: Superintendents, Exhibit Assistants, Judges

Additional Fair Duties:

  • Verify all submissions for Premium payouts prior to checks being cut
  • Evaluate competitive exhibit display needs


  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training and recognition
  • Act as overall supervisor for exhibits and judges
  • Any other special awards/recognition as warranted

Office Duties:

  • Responsible for planning and reconciliation of competitive exhibits
  • Assist customers in the office during open office hours
  • Statistical reports: division statistics, premium payout compilation
  • Position requires personal mobility with the capacity to cover the entire fairgrounds

Education Requirement:

  • High school diploma or GED
