Rose’s Pawn Shop from California to play at the 2018 Tanana Valley State Fair

Fairbanks, AK - On Tuesday, August 7, 2018; Rose’s Pawn Shop will perform at The Tanana Valley State Fair.

Rose’s Pawn Shop is a folk-rock band that brings the strains of Appalachian and Americana music channeled through five guys from Los Angeles, CA.

In 2010, the band recorded the album “Dancing on the Gallows,” and the band began hitting the road.

With an arsenal of guitars, banjo, thumping upright bass, fiddle and drums, delivering neo-classical-sounding melodies and lyrics, their sound is a wholesome mishmash of creek mud, rusty nails and your mom’s cookin’.

“This is our first time touring and playing in Alaska and we are extremely excited to bring our music to Fairbanks and to get a chance to experience the landscape and culture of Alaska,” said Paul Givant, RPS Lead Singer.

Gates open at 6 p.m. on August 7th for Rose’s Pawn Shop.
