The Tanana Valley State Fair offers the best in food choices. Traditional Fair foods like popcorn, cotton candy, hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, curly fries, nachos, smoked turkey drumsticks, Navajo tacos, crepes. smoothies, barbeque, ice cream, and funnel cakes are Fairgoer favorites. In addition, the Fair offers food styles from around the world: Mexican, Greek, Persian, Thai, German, Chinese, Korean, and Columbian. Looking for something out of the ordinary? Try fresh veggie wraps, stuffed peppers, gingerbread, candied nuts, halibut, cheese curds, beef and turkey jerky, flavored popcorn, or deep fried pickles. Wander the Fairgrounds with a pork chop on a stick followed up with cheesecake in a cone. Getting thirsty? Try fresh squeezed lemonade, soft drinks, flavored and specialty coffees and teas, or a “mocktail” (all the flavor without the alcohol). There even is water. With more than 45 Food booths, Fairgoers will never go hungry at the Tanana Valley State Fair.

APPLYING FOR FOOD BOOTH SPACE AT THE
TANANA VALLEY STATE FAIR
The Tanana Valley State Fair limits the total number of Food Booths to 45 at any one Fair. Anyone interested in applying for Food Booth space must submit a “Food Booth Proposal Form.” When the Fair receives the completed Proposal Menu Form, the Form is placed in the Fair’s Food Booth Wait List. When the Fair Staff is ready to select new Food Booths, usually beginning in March prior to that year’s Fair, applicants are chosen based on 1) originality of menu; 2) electrical needs; and 3) length of time on the Wait List if two or more applicants are offering the same or similar items.
Costs for food spaces in 2010:
20' X 20' space, outside only $1400.00
Additional space 10' X 20' or portion thereof $ 600.00
Electrical charge $ 100.00
Differential cost for "Prime" space $ 310.00
Costs include space, access to electricity, 27 Daily admission tickets, space fee, and space insurance.
